The Bundestag election is about strengthening democratic forces, the HDE continued. “Extremists cannot be part of the solution. For trade there is no alternative to cosmopolitanism and international cooperation. The supply chains of the retail companies need as uncomplicated cooperation as possible across borders. This basic condition of the economic success of our country in the middle of Europe must not be jeopardized lightly. We need more and no less cooperation. ”This is also shown by the massive shortage of labor. In retail, more than half of the companies have difficulty finding suitable workers. “This is an important argument for immigration from outside. The retail trade has been a large integration performance here for many decades. Many of our employees have a migration background. We are proud of you and grateful for your support. “
