Macron speaks with Trump and Zelansky after European meeting
French President Emmanuel Macron said he spoke with US President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski after a meeting of European leaders on Monday.
Macron insisted that a peace agreement can be durable only when Russia eliminates its aggression and is a reliable security guarantee for Ukraine.
“We will all work on it together with Europeans, Americans and Ukrainians. It is important,” he wrote on social media.
European leaders discussed an integrated strategy for an emergency summit in Paris on Monday, when Trump called for unexpected immediate talks, following his conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin last week.
He indicated that he was “ready” to provide future security guarantee for Ukraine based on the level of US support. ,
He insisted that no deal on Ukraine should be made behind his back.

From Leyen and Cellogue to meet in Brussels
The European Union President Ursula von Der Leyen will receive a US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia, Keith Kelog at Brussels on Tuesday.
The meeting will focus on briefs for US President Donald Trump for Ukraine and for Europe.
On Monday, Kelog met with NATO ambassadors at Brussels. Alliance General Secretary, Mark Rute wrote on X that the talks were about working together for “a justified and permanent peace in Ukraine”.

America and Russian diplomat to meet in Riyadh for Ukraine talks
US State Secretary Marco Rubio will meet his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov in Saudi Arabia on Tuesday, expected to focus on war in Ukraine.
Kremlin said the talks were to resolve the Ukraine struggle and prepare for a possible dialogue for a meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin.
Neither the representatives of Ukraine nor European countries have been invited for talks in Saudi Arabia.
Although Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelansky is expected to negotiate with the Saudi leadership in Riyadh, he has said that he does not consider the validity of the Rubio-Lavarov dialogue on Ukraine.
He emphasized that any conversation at the disposal of the conflict can only be held with the participation of the Ukrainian government.
