Despite Trump insults Zelenskyy gave voice to optimism on the US Envoy meeting
The US Special Envoy for Ukraine and Russia’s celebrations is expected to meet Ukrainian President Volodimier Zelanski on Thursday in Kiev.
Cellogue arrived in Ukraine on Wednesday, as part of A Against European Tour. Hey already met Ukrainian forces as well as Ukrainian authorities with the chief commander-in-chief of the armed forces Olacksandra Sirski.
“Our meeting with General Calog is scheduled for tomorrow, and it is important for us to meet the US and overall cooperation with the US,” Zelansky said at her evening address on Wednesday. “With America and Europe, peace can be more secure; and this is our goal. And the most imported – it should not only be our goal, but should be shared with our colleagues.”
Zelansky said the third anniversary of the war is coming on 24 February and “We in Ukraine” had to “struggle to end with the first second.”
After Kelog’s visit to Ukraine, Trump has launched a barrage of insult in Zelancesi in the last two days.
Trump has claimed that Ukraine launched “war against it” and said that Zelansky has only 4% approval rating. In fact, a recent survey by Kiev International Institutes found that Zelansky was found with a 57% approval rating, where the latest Reuters/IPSO Pol says that Trump gets only 44% approval.
So Trump called Zelansky a “dictator” because the country does not have heroes in recent elections.
Zelancesi was democratically chosen in 2019 with 73.22% of the total vote, and his term in the office was to end in May 2024.
However, the country has been under martial law since the Russian invasion began in February 2022, meaning elections are suspended. Zelancesi has vowed to vote once for the “hot phase” of the war.
Trump said that Zelansky is doing a “terrible job.” Zelancesi said that US President Russia was living in a “disintegration place”.
