The flagship of the shoe retailer will soon be empty. The landlord, Kontorhaus Barkhof GmbH, had submitted an action for evacuation against Görtz Retail GmbH in November 2024 after the payment of several monthly rents failed to pay. On December 18, 2024, Görtz had appealed against the default judgment that was issued on December 10, 2024. The process continued. A quality negotiation had been scheduled for February 11, 2025. The Hamburg Higher Regional Court announced this information on Schuhkurier request.
Now the default judgment from December has apparently been confirmed in court. The Hamburger Abendblatt had first reported on it. The sales area in the flagship store therefore comprises around 4,000 square meters on four floors. According to the report of the Hamburg evening sheet, the landlord wants to rebuild and rent the area.
Both Görtz Retail GmbH, under which the shoe stores run, as well as Görtz Holding GmbH and Atlant Logistik GmbH are insolvent.
Spitaler Straße is not the only Görtz location affected by eviction lawsuits. The Hamburg district court had six locations against the shoe dealer. The plaintiffs were or are the ownership companies of real estate. Here, too, it was about outstanding rent payments. In two cases, the eviction lawsuits have now been successful. Now Spitaler Straße 101 is apparently added.
