In Karimnagar too, the price of mutton has increased from Rs 800 to Rs 1000 per kg. According to businessman Gaus, people are buying more mutton due to bird flu, which has increased its demand. Earlier, 300 kg of mutton was sold daily at his shop, but now it has been more than 500 kg. If this situation prevails, Mutton can reach Rs 1200 kg in the coming days.

Machhali also increased demand

At the same time, the prices of mutton in Godavari district have increased from Rs 800 per kg to more than Rs 1000. Fish prices have also increased, many types of fish are being sold at a price of 100 rupees more. A small businessman from Kakinada said that big traders have increased prices in view of the demand and they are only selling in the middle. The demand for fish in Hyderabad has increased rapidly. About 60 tonnes of fish were sold in the Mushirahrabad fish market on Sunday, while it is usually 40 tonnes. Prices have also increased due to increase in demand, the price of fish like Rava and Bocha has increased by Rs 20-40 per kg.

Heavy fall in chicken prices

There has been a huge increase in fish prices in Visakhapatnam. The price of Vanjaram and Konam fish has increased from Rs 300-400 kg to Rs 600-700 kg. The price of Apollo fish increased from Rs 240 to Rs 360 per kg, while Bocha fish is now selling from Rs 120 to Rs 170 kg. Poultry companies in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are organizing free chicken fairs to remove people’s misunderstandings. Chicken prices have fallen from ₹ 250 to ₹ 100 per kg due to bird flu. In these fairs, people are being given chicken and eggs for free, so that they can be sure and eat them. A spokesperson for the Venkob Chicken Company, which organized a fair in Rajanna Sirsila district, said that according to doctors, bird flu does not spread to humans with chickens.
