The European Commission wants to underline its clean industrial deal on Wednesday, aimed at cutting tens of billions of billions of euros from fossil fuel import bills in 2025.
Some measures include accelerating the permit process for permanent energy projects, changing the tariff structure on energy and increasing subsidy for renewable.
European Union Energy Commissioner Dan Jorgenseen said, “The fact that America is now moving away from the agenda of Haregi … It does not mean that we will do the same. On the contrary, we need to move forward. “
The new energy rules will help the renewable energy companies struggling with cheap foreign imports and dull demand.
Another objective of the clean industrial deal is for 40% of renewable energy technology like wind turbines to be produced inside the European Union. Therefore it wants to move the burden of some stability rules away from small and medium sized businesses on large pollutants.
European Union estimates tens of billions in savings
European Union executive analysis estimated that it would save the BLOC € 45 billion ($ 47.3 billion) at import cost, supporting the energy infrastructure inside the block. Those savings should increase to € 130 billion annually by 2030.
Jorgensen said in an interview with Reuters, “They (renewable energy projects) increase a lot of investments, which are called without. But we have to remember that there is not much to do so.”
“So we save money by not buying fuel from outside,” he said.
Although the use of fossil fuel of the European Union showed the Kovid -19 epidemic, it touched the sky in 2022 after Ukraine’s Russian invasion and decrease in the availability of Russian natural gas.
Hence Europe is facing danger from US President Donald Trump, who asked the block to buy more American fuels or to face taffs.
