The next Chancellor of Germany Frederick Merz on Wednesday made a stunning visit to Paris to meet French President Emmanuel Macron.
The journey took place a few days after his conservative CDU/CSU block, which has emerged as the largest party in terms of election seats.
What did Merz and Macron talk about?
The visit included discussion on European security issues along with discussion on recent changes in American policy on war in Ukraine.
Merz posted a picture of Himalla and Macron on social media late on Wednesday, thanks to his “friendship” and “faith in German-French relations” for his French President.
“Together our country can achieve great things for Europe,” Mars wrote on Instagram.
It marks Christian Democrats (CDU) and Bavaria’s Christian Social Union (CSU) since its first visit outside Germany to Merz’s first visit to Merz’s first visit to Christian Democrats (CDU) and on Sunday with an election with 28.5% of the vote, resulting in a German bundestag.
With 630 seats in the Bundestag, the conservative group was well reduced by the required number to form the government. The next largest party is AFD, who won 152 seats after Sunday’s vote, but working with the far-flung party with the CDU/CSU block of Merz, focusing on forming an alliance with Conservatives Outgoing Chance Olaf’s Social Democrats (SPD).
Those coalition negotiations, which are definitely far away to achieve success, are due to a significant time for the continent, concerned with leaders that US President Donald Trump Coil has concluded a peel with European partnership with Russia.
Earlier this week, Washington twice biased with Moscow in votes in the United Nations.
As those votes, Macron visited the White House, insisting that no peace agreement could be signed without Ukraine’s approval.
It is not clear that Macron and Trump are on the same page, despite their clear warmth when they sat down to talk with the media, as the pair re -enlisted their relationship with the first term of the US President.
What happens next in Germany after the election?
Meanwhile, Merz is not expected to visit the European Union summit with scools, which is going to be in Brussels next month.
The CDU/CSU Chancellor candidate does not require “government internships” nor “hand-holding” before assuming power, Stephen Hebstreit, spokesperson of Sholaz, said on Wednesday.
A government spokesman said the Sholaz would not take the meeting on March 6, in which the European Union leaders are expected to talk on Washington’s recent innings in Ukraine’s stance.
There has been speculation that the Merz will join the Sholaz for the summit, such as Schollaz Angela Merkel soon after winning the German election with the G20 gathering in Rome at the end of 2021.
However, Hebstreit dismissed the comparison, stating that Sholaz was working in his former capacity as Merkel’s Finance Minister.
Germany’s oldest party Center-left SPD recorded its worst results in the federal election in more than a century and the biggest loss of votes compared to the previous elections. Sholaz has announced that he will not serve in the next government.
