Fanarbis coach Jose Morinho was imposed a four -match ban and fine by the Turkish Football Federation on Thursday, after a match against Galatasarai after his “aggressive” commentary Turkish referee.
The 62 -year -old Portuguese will have to pay 1.617,000 Turkish Lira (€ 42.616, $ 44,000) to criticize match officials while talking to the media after a super lig draw on Monday.
Morinho on Thursday served one of one of his suspended four matches, when he was absent from the bench to win 4–1 Turkish Cups of Fanarbahe in Ghaziap.
According to Britain’s Sky Sports News, Fanarbis has appealed for four game ban. If the appeal is rejected, Morinho wants to miss its next three domestic games.
What did Morinho say about Turkish referee?
Monday’s super lig game was refereeed by Slavco Vinnic of Slovenia.
During the post -match interview, Morinho welcomed the decision to bring to a foreign referee for the game and congratulated Vinsic for “top performance”.
When the manager saw the fourth officer, a Turkish referee, Morinho said that he said to him: “If you are a referee … then there will be a disaster.”
When asked about a challenge at the beginning of the match, he said that a Turkish referee would have reacted with a yellow card “after Big Dive and his bench jumping around like monkeys.”
The Turkish Federation said that “abusive and aggressive statements towards Turkish referee” and disciplinary measures were taken due to allegations of chaos and disorder in Turkish football. It further stated that Morinho’s remarks violated sports morality, promoted violence and disorder, and provoked fan events.
Morinho – who has coached Extron, Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, has been fined and suspended for his comments about Turkish match officials first.
Comments deformed, say Fanarbash
Earlier this week, Fanarbis defended Morinho, saying that his comments “deliberately dropped out of context.”
In the context of Morinho’s use of the word “monkeys”, in his criticism, those on the opposing bench, Turkish Club said: “As any proper person can clearly identify, the expression used by Jose Morinho was completely to desk the excessive response of technical staff of the opposing teams for the decision of the referee during the match. The thesis comment, under circumstances, cannot go to the cow.”
