Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Friday that India and the European Union were ready to conclude a free trade agreement later in the year.

What did Modi say about talks with the European Union?

The Prime Minister of India said that the goal of New Delhi and Brussels was to attack the deal “mutually beneficial”.

Modi said, “We have asked our teams to work on a mutually bilateral free trade agreement by the end of this year.”

He said, “Your visit to India has added a new strength, energy and enthusiasm in our partnership. This journey will act as a catalyst that translates our ambition to action,” he said, addressing Leyen.

India and the European Union with a long -standing dialogue for March to attack a free trade deal.

Earlier conversation has disrupted bees by disagreeing on intellectual property security, as well as market access issues for some products including cars and alcoholic beverages.

Last year, India signed a trade agreement with the European Free Trade Association, including Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland, none of which are the European Union Member states.

Leyen calls for India, ‘remagin’ partnership to the European Union

Leyen said Brussels confirmed to strengthen their partnership with India amid growing global competition.

“This world is full of danger. But I believe this modern version of the Great Power Competition is an opportunity for Europe and India to resume its partnership,” Layen said at the pace of his meeting with Modi.

“We both stand to lose to the world of influence and regions of separatism. And we both stand to achieve from the world of cooperation and work together,” he said.

“This is why the European Union and India have the ability to be one of the defined partnership of this century.” Leyen said.

The head of the European Union Commission said that BLOC was considering a possible defense and security partnership with India on the lines of deals with Japan and South Korea.

India has not banned Moscow and called for a disposal of a conversation in war in Ukraine. While the European Union is the largest trade partner in India, Russia has been a major source of defense imports for the world’s most populous country.

Leyen said that the European Union and India could cooperate in efforts to diversify supply chains, with Brussels in search of their relations with China in search of “de-digestion”.
