Leiser closes in Alt -Tegel – Schuhkurier

As the Berliner Morgenpost reports, the shoe branchist Leiser closes his doors in the Alt-Tegel district in Berlin at the end of the month. Only a few weeks earlier, a C&A business directly opposite had stopped operating. According to the Morgenpost, the house on Berliner-Straße was “built in 1957 by Becker & Kries OHG especially for the quiet factory & trading company.” There is even a included entrance to the Alt-Tegel underground station.

Now the branch will close after 68 years at the end of February. But the closure does not mean retreat from the district or Berlin. Another branch is near the Borsigturm, another further to the south. In total, the company based in Augsburg operates around 65 business according to estimates.
