Rose Giron, the woman believed that the oldest survivor of Holocaust had passed away, the New York -based conference announced on Thursday.
Giron, who was born in Poland in 1912, died on Monday, a non -profit organization that receives compensation for the survivors of Holocaust, said in a post on social media.
US Broadcaster CNN reported that he died in a nursing home in Belmore, New York.
“She was a strong woman, flexible. She created the best position. She was a very tier-oriented, was very common. There was nothing that I could not bring to help in childhood since childhood,” Giron’s daughter Rhab Bennikasa said about her.
The Israeli Embassy in Berlin said, “His life was a testimony to survival and power.”
Flight after Nazi Pogromes
Giron was born in the city of Janov in Poland on the modern day, but which part of Germany was at that time.
For the conference of claims, she moved to the German Bracelau-Modern de Vrockla in Poland and in 1938, Nazis as their husband Julius Manhem carried out Crystal Knight Pogrom against Jews in Germany.
He noticed that the Nazis burnt the synagogue and burned the Jewish books.
Her husband was arrested by the Nazis and when the eight -month pregnant was pregnant, Giron sent an inch to the Buchanwald concentration camp. Hey later released and the couple fled to Shanghai on a Chinese visa before settling in New York in 1947.
She divorced in 1948, and later married Jack Giron, while she came to be known as a weave immigrant after opening a knitting shops in the United States. Rose Giron publicly spoke about his experiences during the Nazi era.
According to the claim conference, around 220,000 Holocausts survived which are still alive, some 14,000 live in New York.
After Giron’s death, Mirjam Bolley is now considered the oldest living Holocost Survivor. Dutch -born Israel replaces 108 on 20 March.
