Pope Francis, who has been struggling with double pneumonia for more than two weeks, has been spent and resting on Friday night without additional complications, Vatican said on Saturn in his latest update about the position of Francis.
Vatican said, “The night passed peacefully, the Pope is resting.”
The next medical bulletin is expected to be around 7 pm (1800 GMT).
Earlier on Friday, 88-year-old Pontiff was reconsidered the “isolated breathing crisis” and “non-invasive, mechanical ventilation”.
The Pope “wore an episode of vomiting with aspiration and sudden respiratory conditions.”
Pope is in critical condition
Francis is receiving treatment at Jamelli Hospital in Rome since 14 February.
Hey was hospitalized with a severe respiratory infection, a serious infection of both lungs in double pneumonia that can swell and scare them, making it difficult to breathe.
Health experts believe that Francis’ age and health condition means that a continuous recovery will take time.
Francis, who has served as the Pope since 2013, heads about 1.4 billion Catholics in the world.
Despite his medical condition, he continued to lead the Vatican from the hospital.
Respiratory disease
Over the years, the head of the Catholic Church has faced frequent health issues, with several matches of bronchitis.
Francis suffers from lung infections as he developed Porteris as a young adult and a lung was removed.
The 88 -year -old Pontif has long been suffering from sciatica, a chronic nerve inflammation that causes back, hip and leg pain.
