US Private Spaceship Lands on Moon – DW – 03/02/2025

An American private space hip has achieved its first time without Lunar Landing, which marks the second commercial moon landing.

The blue ghost of the firefly aerospace touched an ancient volcanic vent on the mare chrysium, a large basin in the north -pre -corner of the Earth of the moon.

“We are on the moon,” Mission Control said, adding the lander “was stable.”

The mission is part of NASA’s partnership with the industry to cut cost cuts and support the Artemis program, which attempts to return astronauts on the moon.

NASA director Janet Petro said, “We are putting America first, we are proud of America, we are doing so for American citizens.”

What do we know about the mission?

Blue Ghost was launched from Florida in mid -January, in which 10 experiments were done from NASA to the Moon. The space agency paid $ 101 million (about € 97.3 million) for delivery, and $ 44 million more for science.

The four-foot spaceship is about a compact car size.

The lander is carrying a vacuum that will suck the moon’s dirt for analysis. The board has a drill to measure deep temperatures as 10 feet (3 m) below the surface.

The demo should run in some way or the other for two weeks, the lunar is premature and the lander is closed.

Lander, along with his journey, captured the stunning footage of the Earth and Moon.

This is due to capturing the imagination of the high definition of the total eclipse on 14 March, when the Earth blocks the sun from the horizon of the moon. It wants to record a lunar sunset on 16 March, providing insight into an effect how the dust moves above the surface under the solar effect.

And who has successfully removed the moon?

It is the second private company receiving a soft moon landing, which receives a soft moon landing, after the success of Odicius Lander, the previous, spontaneous machines with low smooth landing; One leg and tipping in this process. Houston -based firm is sending another lander to the lower part of the moon this year due to land on Thursday.

At the national level, five countries have managed landing. They include the then Soviet Union, America, China, India and Japan.
