Arab leader gathered to discuss the reconstruction of Gaza – DW – 03/04/2025

Arab leaders are meeting at an emergency summit in Cairo on Tuesday to discuss the possible reconstruction plans of the war-upgrade Gaza Strip.

The Arab Foreign Minister on Monday met for an initial session in the Egyptian capital, focusing on the region’s reconstruction plan without placing his people, the AFP reported a source in the Arabian League.

The plan will be submitted to the Arab League leaders, including Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia and Qatar on Tuesday. Hence the European Union President Antonio Costa is expected.

The plans discussed at the Tuesday summit are to combat US President Donald Trump’s controversial vow, which are for some 2 million Palestinian people to redevelop themselves to redeveloping gazand redevelopment after “redevelopment” in Arab countries.

Trump uploaded an artificial intelligence video to convert war -torn Gaza into “Riviera of Middle East”, a plan was appreciated as “visionary” by Israeli President Benjamin Netanyahu and one exiting the Middle East and other countries.

According to United Nations estimates, the cost of reconstruction of Gaza is around 53 billion dollars (€ 50.5 billion).

While the entire limit of damage will be known only once when inspectors have complete access to the area, the United Nations has estimated using satellite data that about 70% of all structures in Gaza is damaged or destroyed. It consisted of over 245,000 houses.

Another United Nations estimates that the war has laid Gaza with more than 50 million tonnes of debris – 12 times more of Giza’s great pyramid size.
