In 2024, Adidas was able to make it back into the profit zone. The group recently reported an operating result of 1.7 to 1.8 billion euros with an increase in sales in the high single -digit range. Despite the success, however, the company faces challenging times: to counteract the challenging market situation and to fulfill the “conservative forecasts”, Adidas plans various measures. As the CEO Bjørn Gulden reports to the Reuters Agency Agency, the company is now planning, among other things, the deletion of around 500 positions in the group headquarters in Herzogenaurach. This should be more power as “part of an advance to simplify the organization and to give teams in various markets to design and market local products,” says guilders. This corresponds to the reports that were already circulating on the subject of job cuts in the industry in January.
