Allbirds reports a decline in sales – Schuhkurier

“2024 was a year of progress, both in surgical and financially,” says Joe Rächio, Chief Executive Officer of Allbirds, on the occasion of the publication of the current figures. “We strengthened our operating model, increased the gross margin and reduced the costs, while we at the same time strengthened the international presence of Allbirds through new sales agreements. It is important that we have boosted our product and marketing engine again, which should lead to a trend improvement in the second half of the year, including the return to growth in sales in the fourth quarter. We continue to work with financial discipline, while we focus on further promoting our plans in the areas of product, marketing and customer experience. ”

The net turnover for the year 2024 decreased by 25.3% to $ 189.8 million (EUR 173.75 million) compared to $ 254.1 million (232.62 million euros) in 2023. According to the company, the previous year is primarily due to lower sales figures in the direct business. The sales were also affected by the changeover of the international sales partners and planned closures of retail stores.

The gross profit in 2024 was $ 81.1 million (EUR 74.24 million) compared to $ 104.2 million (EUR 95.39 million) in 2023, while the gross margin improved to 42.7% in 2024 compared to 41.0% in 2023.

The net loss in 2024 was $ 93.3 million (EUR 85.41 million) compared to $ 152.5 million (139.61 million euros) in 2023, and the net altitude margin was 49.2% compared to 60.0% in 2023.

For the further course of the year, Allbirds expects a decline in sales of $ 18 to 23 million, which has to do with the changeover from direct sales to a distribution model. This includes the closure of a total of 20 monomarkt gates, which started in 2024.
For the entire 2025 financial year, Allbirds expects net sales between $ 175 and $ 195 million.
