As part of a strategic cooperation, Decathlon opens new locations in Galeria department stores throughout Germany from July 2025. The stores should be between 1,500 and 3,500 sqm. Decathlon expects 25 to 75 employees to be employed directly at Decathlon. The first store will be opened in Constance, and more are planned in Duisburg, Freiburg, Trier and Kassel by the end of 2025. “This groundbreaking cooperation is a milestone for both companies. With the takeover of the areas in central inner city sites, we can achieve our customers even better in the future and offer them an attractive shopping experience. Together with Galeria, we will set new standards in retail,” explains Stefan Kaiser, Director Real Estate Decathlon Germany.
