Rather accidentally came the opportunity to open Kapire. There was also a shoemaker workshop on the premises. The old owner had died and Ranft wanted to get the place for the neighborhood. “Many, especially older customers, tell me how grateful they are, that the shop still exists.” And they also use the offer. Ranft cannot complain about a lack of orders. She usually takes 50 to 80 larger and smaller repairs a week: “Especially last year from October to December there was a lot going on,” she describes, explaining that the business is still growing. It speaks around, even with younger consumers, who often do not even know that sneakers can still be repaired. Above all, Ranft has to patch holes in heel food.
Repairing a heel costs around 20 euros to repair a sole 30 euros. Of course, customers come by with their more expensive models such as hiking shoes, galantry or noble sneakers in the three -digit range. In the price segment, however, it is often worthwhile to have the shoe repaired instead of paying a lot of money for a new one a second time. According to the opening times, Ranft wants to show that even service providers cannot always be accessible and that the family should not be saved. The shop is closed on Monday, only open until 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday and Friday. Only on Wednesday and Thursday does the capire remain open until 6 p.m.
