This Is The New Location Of Schuh-Beck

On the homepage of the Ö-Center in Öhringen, north of Heilbronn and Schwäbisch-Hall, it can be read: “Schuh Beck: Opening of the new shoe paradise.” Since March 13, customers have been able to shop again in a shoe store there. It is the 14th branch of the Römersteiner Schuh branchist Schuh-Beck. In the shop there was a location of the Dornstadt shoe trading company Werdich. There, for logistical reasons, they had decided to hand over the branch. Ingo Hänel, Managing Director of Schuh-Beck, took over the business in January 2025. “For me, the location fits the concept super,” says Hänel to Schuhkurier, “although I have to admit: If I had been told a year ago, I would not have opened a location on the first floor of a center today.”

Within a few weeks, the business with almost 400 square meters of sales area was redesigned on the first floor of the center. The warehouse furniture and parts of the facility on the sales area could be taken over by Werdich. “Sometimes we carried out upcycling,” reports Hänel. In various areas, back walls foiled for the range of goods were attached. In the sneaker area, a back wall in brick look should ensure an exciting ambience. The new owner of the area also changed the goods arrangement and the walking paths.

Schuh-Beck offers a selection of shoes for women and men at the new location. The range of the middle of Skechers and Nike and Adidas to Back 70 includes the range. In addition, there are a share of around 10% accessories. 60% of the shoe offer are women’s shoes. Sneakers and outdoor models are a focus of the offer.

On March 13, the location was opened with a party. According to Ingo Hänel, many representatives of the shoe industry were there at the event.
There are around 30 shops in the Ö-Center; The center includes a total sales area of 19,000 sqm.

With the 14th location, the Römersteiner shoe dealer sees the optimal number of branches reached. “We do not want to continue growing and would rather make adjustments within our branch portfolio.”
