What is the method of installation of urn
Kalash is established on the first day of Chaitra Navratri. For this, put a red cloth on a wooden post and keep a picture or idol of Mother Durga. After this, after meditating on Ganpati, add water, Ganga water, cloves, turmeric lumps, betel nut and coin in the urn. Put mango or Ashoka leaves and cover it with a lid and fill rice or wheat above. If you are keeping coconut, then make a swastika on it and tie it with a red cloth. After this, worship the Kalash and Maa Durga and take a pledge to fast, offer flowers, garlands, vermilion, kumkum, offerings and light a lamp of ghee and recite mantras.
