The new store is located in the 6th arrondissement in 4 Rue de Sèvres in Saint-Germain-Des-Prés. Saint-Germain has always been a place of inspiration, it says on the part of Birkenstock. The combination of tradition and innovation made the quarter the perfect location of the new store. The brand’s shoes are offered there at 85 sqm. Walls with clay plaster, a concrete floor and a light beige ceiling ensure a warm, inviting atmosphere. The use of natural materials such as cork, leather and dark stained oak wood stand for the brand’s craftsmanship. Product displays made of light, silver-colored aluminum with a naturally matt surface ensure a modern contrast. The heart of the room is a feature wall made of dark stained oak, reminiscent of a book wall and is supposed to take up the literary legacy of the artist’s district. The latest store is part of a Europe-wide network of 38 retail locations in eight countries.
