The Deichmann Group recorded gross sales of around EUR 8.7 billion in the past 2024 financial year (net EUR 7.5 billion, 2023: gross 8.5 billion euros). The currency -adjusted sales increase is 2.3%. The average price of the sold models has increased due to good off -selling higher -priced branded shoes. Over 180 million pairs of shoes in the branches and the online shops were sold worldwide.
The market environment was also apparently challenging for the Essen branch list – Deichmann also felt the decline in private consumption in many markets and the uncertainty of people in the face of increasing living costs and geopolitical crises. In Europe, the company was still able to achieve a sales increase of 5%.
The group of companies is active in over 30 countries; Around 68% of sales were generated abroad. As of December 31, 2024, Deichmann SE operated about as many stores with around 4,700 branches as in the previous year and around 40 online shops. Around 49,900 employees worked for Deichmann SE at the end of the year (2023: around 49,000).
The company has gradually expanded its brand portfolio. In addition to a large selection of sports brands such as Adidas, Nike, Puma or Fila, brands such as New Balance are also part of the offer. In addition, Essen companies acquired Esprit’s shoe brand rights and the licenses of Kappa and S.Oliver. Additional brands such as Rieker, Buffalo or Bugatti have been included in the extensive portfolio and expand the offer as well as Crocs, Skechers, Tom Tailor, Bench or Dockers.
