Toe game celebrates the new opening – Schuhkurier

Since September 1st, the area has been used in a small industrial area in Erbach-Michelstedt by toe game. Roman Degenhardt and Kristin Fitterer had taken over the shop after the Schuhwelt branchist had given up. In December 2025, toe game started here. The barefoot shoe concept is now present at 380 sqm. For the time being, a shoe outlet from the Schuhladen Bebra is housed on another part of the area. Depending on how the demand develops, the option is to further expand the area used by toe play.
In the past few months, last adjustments to the new shop have been made – and on April 9th there was a celebration with industry representatives. The mayor of Erbach, Dr. Peter Traub, had come to the opening, as did Manfred Junkert, General Manager of the Federal Association of the Schuh and Leather Ware Industry HDS/L, and Rolf Pangels, General Manager of the BTE Handelsverband Textil Schuhe Lederwaren.

According to the owners, the brand portfolio for women, men and children in the new toe game is very diverse, according to the owners Kristin Fitterer and Roman Degenhardt and also includes security and slippers as well as outdoor and hiking models. Several new brands have been added, including running providers Joe Nimble and Snipe. Further brands are to follow from H/W 2025/26. The price range for children is between 40 and 120 euros, for adults between 60 and 250 euros, the focus of 150 euros.
The toe game shop in Erbach, where it all started for Kristin Fitterer in 2020, had simply become too small with its around 50 square meters of retail space, reports the dealer. There she had recently opened to a limited extent and, above all, worked with appointment bookings. The new shop is now open from Monday to Saturday. Parking spaces in front of the door are another positive aspect, so that those who arrive by car do not have to do long rounds. Especially for customers who have a longer journey route, the option of making an appointment is still offered.

“We want to be the target for customers in the Rhein-Main-Neckar area, and we have the largest sales area for barefoot shoes all over Germany,” says dealer Roman Degenhardt confidently. In fact, the new location is the third with a toe game concept. The locations of the Schuhladen Bebra in Kassel and Göttingen are now also offering barefoot shoes. And soon a third in Rothenburg should follow the Tauber.

Tie game was founded in 2019 by Kristin Fitterer in Erbach in the Odenwald. The company has been combined by Roman Degenhardt and Kristin Fitterer since 2023.
