New York: A plane accident occurred in New York on Saturday, in which the famous surgeon Dr. Joy Saini and his five family members died. A few days before this, a helicopter fell into the river. Joy Saini’s husband Dr. Michael Groff was flying the aircraft. This family was going to celebrate the birthday and passover in Catskils, but Kismet had something else. The aircraft flew in the morning from Westchester County Airport in White Plains. From here he left for Columbia County Airport, but he crashed just 16 kilometers before the floor. The aircraft along with Joy Saini and Michael Groff were accompanied by their two children, Karena and Jered Groff, Jred’s partner Alexia Koytas Duarte, and Karena’s boyfriend James Santoro. His third child Anika was not in this flight.
According to the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB), Michael Groff approached the control tower just before the accident. He told that he missed the first landing and wants to try again. After this, the controller warned of low height three times, but no response was received. Then suddenly the aircraft fell down fast and collapsed in the field. According to the report, NTSB official Tod Inman said, “The aircraft was completely broken, found sunk in the mud.” In a video found by investigators, the aircraft was correct for the last moments, but suddenly dives towards the ground.
Joy Saini was from Punjab
Dr. Joy Saini was born in Punjab. She came to America in childhood with her parents, Kuljeet and Gurdev Singh. She studied medical from Pittsburgh University and she met Michael Groff here, who later became her husband. Joy was a famous urologist and pelvic surgeon.

She founded Boston Pelvic Health and Wellness, where she worked day and night for women’s health. Joy worked in big institutions like Massachusetts Memorial Medical Center, NYU, and Indiana University. She lived in Weston with her husband, three children and pet dogs. According to the report, he loved skiing, horticulture, cooking and spending time with family.
Family had a different identity
This incident destroyed a family, whose every member had its own distinct identity. Karena was the star footballer of Groff Mit, who received the NCAA Woman of the Year Award in 2022. During Kovid, he created an open PPE, which distributed masks and kits to the frontline workers.
