The GMS network has already strongly promoted the further development of the industry with the marketing concept of healthy shoes. With the new cooperation, she would like to accompany and support the next development step by the orthopedic shoe technician towards the medical supply store. For a long time, the GMS Association has been discussed for a long time to collect a cooperation with a grouping group of the medical sector.
“The orthopedic shoe technology is an innovative segment with a clear future perspective,” reports Schneider. For about four years, the Cologne group therefore observed the medical supply store area, with which there are thematic overlaps in many aspects to find the ideal partner. “Last year, it came about in the dealership by accelerating the further development, and we wanted to put a great solution under the Christmas tree in 2024,” says Schneider. After the first exploratory discussion, both groups quickly agreed because the perspectives were very positive for everyone involved.
This unification quickly resulted in a great will to implement, so that all organizational and contractual topics between the two partners have been resolved quickly and unbureaucratically since February, Horst Purschke, who is responsible for the comfort of comfort and orthopedic shoe technology at GMS, has been on the go in order to explain the advantages of the new cooperation to the companies.
