Engelhorn is reorganizing his management: In the future, the leadership will consist of the Double leadership Fabian Engelhorn (CEO) and Sebastian Bungartz (CFO). Coo Armin Weger leaves the company in summer at its own request and, according to the company, “the best mutual agreement to devote itself to new professional challenges.” His previous tasks will be taken over by Fabian Engelhorn and the Engelhorn team.
Armin Weger has been part of the management since 2015; Starting with Engelhorn Sports GmbH, he later took over the management of Engelhorn Mode GmbH. He was responsible for the merging of both areas to “an integrated, powerful network”.
“His work was characterized by a strategic foresight, great personal operational readiness and a modern leadership. For his commitment and trusting cooperation, we thanked and as a partner and wish him all the best for his further way – professionally and private -” says the company. “The new management structure is part of the entrepreneurial development and strengthens Engelhorn’s goal of acting even more agile, customer -seamful and future -oriented.”
The new management structure sets the course for the coming years. In this way, decisions should be made even faster and more focused in the future, while the slimmer structure is supposed to be part of a superordinate vision that combines the “tradition and innovative strength”.
“We have seen change as an opportunity for 135 years,” says CEO Fabian Engelhorn. “The strategic realignment is our active step into a future in which we consistently focus on customer proximity, experience orientation and sustainable income and sales growth. With our new store in the Gridx adventure center in Luxembourg and the upcoming location in Mainz, we will also make this claim visible there.”
