HDE writes letter to top politician

The trade association Germany has with a letter to the politicians Friedrich Merz (CDU), Thorsten Frei (CDU), Dr. Carsten Linnemann (CDU), Lars Klingbeil (SPD) and Dr. Matthias Miersch (SPD) turned. The letter is signed by HDE President Alexander von Preen. The trade association therefore welcomes the announcement of the immediate program to revive the German economy. The outlined projects (special depreciation, reduction in bureaucracy and energy cost reduction) are important steps to unleash investments. At the same time, the HDE would like to draw attention to the most important aspects for trading, which should be taken into account when carrying out the immediate program. The reduction in energy costs should not be limited to industry. Instead, a reduction in electricity tax is needed to the European minimum size for all companies and a redistribution of network charges. Operators of Remeuebare-Energie systems would also have to participate in the costs. This is the only way to do the same competitive conditions. The HDE welcomes the planned flexibility of working hours, the abolition of the
Delivery chain obligations law and the abolition of the bonus obligation. However, the regulatory pressure on the trade remains enormous. Above all, because providers from third countries such as Temu and Shein are untouched by these standards. The trade also calls for measures to spark a vitalization boom of the city centers. The HDE proposes to extend special depreciation to modernizations in city centers-such as a 12-year linear depreciation of 100 % of the investment costs. The HDE again calls for a political minimum wage setting and respecting the autonomy of the minimum wage commission.
