Marc O’Polo cooperates with the Saxony-Linen EV and supports the club with a total of 60,000 euros in the next three years. This promotes a research and development project for the extraction and processing of fiber-grown fiber in Germany. The project pursues the goal of researching new cultivation technologies for biologically grown fiber for textile production and providing the establishment of suitable preparation systems. Special emphasis is placed on resource -saving methods, environmentally friendly further processing and short transport routes. Part of the activities is the structure of a modern long fiber swing in order to be able to transfer the fibers obtained into innovative textile applications. “We are very happy to have a strong partner at our side with Marc O’Polo who enables this important project. Our goal is to revive the cultivation and processing of fiber in Germany and thus create a sustainable alternative to imported textile fibers. With this cooperation we set new standards for sustainable textile production in Germany,” explains Torsten Brückner, CEO of the Saxony-Linen EV “Linen is a natural fiber with a long tradition. The research project is located in the southern room Leipzig, a region that has long been shaped by the cabbage industry and is characterized by structural change.
