Ghulam rasool magray shot dead: A 45-year-old social worker was shot dead by suspected militants in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir. Officials said the terrorists entered Ghulam Rasool Magre’s house in Khas Khas late on Saturday (26 April). Magre was rushed to the hospital, where he was declared dead by doctors. The reason for the terrorists targeting him is not yet clear. Officials said 44 -year -old Magre was shot in the stomach and wrist.
The police have started investigating the murder. The incident of firing occurred at a time when there is a high security alert in the valley after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. 25 tourists and a local person were killed in this attack on 22 April.
After the attack in Pahalgam, security forces have initiated a massive action against terrorists in the Kashmir Valley. Many people have been detained. The houses of alleged terrorist supporters have been raided. According to the Indian Express, in the last four days, the police have detained more than 2,000 people from across the valley.
Terrorist hideout busted in Kupwara
In Kupwara district, on Saturday, security forces busted a hideout of terrorists and seized a large number of weapons and ammunition. A few days after the Pahalgam terror attack, these weapons have been seized. On Tuesday, April 22, militants opened fire in Basaron Valley near Pahalgam, Tourism Center in South Kashmir, killing 26 people. Most of them were tourists.
A police officer said that on the basis of specific intelligence information, security forces started a search operation in the forest area of Sedori Nala, Mushtakabad Machil in North Kashmir district. He said that during the campaign, a terrorist hideout was successfully detected and demolished.
The official said a large quantity of weapons and ammunition have been recovered from the scene. This includes five AK-47 rifles, 8 AK-47 magazines, a pistol, a pistol magazine, 660 rounds of AK-47, a round of a pistol and 50 rounds of M4. He said that this is a big success.
