Operation Sindoor: The Pakistani Army confirmed on Wednesday morning that India had carried out accurate attacks in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. It has also threatened to respond to the attack. Talking to local media, Pakistani Army spokesman Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhary said that the missiles fired by India have targeted PoK’s Kotli and Muzaffarabad and Bahawalpur in Punjab Province.
He claimed that Indian missiles have carried out an air attack at Subhanullah Masjid, Kotli and Muzaffarabad in Bahawalpur Ahmedabad East area. He said, “All the fighters of our Air Force are in the air. This cowardly and embarrassing attack was carried out from the airspace of India. They never dared to come and infiltrate the region of Pakistan.”
He said, “I want to clearly say that Pakistan will answer it at its own time and place. This heinous provocation will be answered.”
Later, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif termed the attack as a “war action” and said that his country has every right to respond. He said that the damage caused by the attack is being assessed and detailed information will be given later.
Officials later said that these Indian attacks have targeted PoK’s Kotli, Muzaffarabad and tiger and Bahawalpur and Murid areas of Punjab.
Indian armed forces started Operation Sindoor on Wednesday morning and attacked nine terrorist sites in Pakistan and PoK. In a statement after the attack, the Ministry of Defense said that no Pakistani military establishment has been targeted in the attack.
