Washington/Beijing: US President Donald Trump has increased his trade war even more against China. On Wednesday, Trump signed an important executive order, under which the tariff was increased by 245 percent on goods coming from China to America. This step is part of Trump’s effort through which he wants to bow to China in a trade war. But Chinese President Xi Jinping is neither retreating nor showing himself weak. Meanwhile, Jinping’s Vietnam Yatra and Trump’s sharp reaction have warmed this battle further.
Trump has been describing China as the biggest enemy of the American economy from the beginning. He claims that China looted the American market on the basis of cheap goods for years and snatched the jobs there. That is why Trump first imposed 145% tariffs, but when China retaliated with counter tariff, Trump was enraged. According to the White House Fact Sheet, a complete trade war is going on and US President Donald Trump has increased the tariff on Chinese imports to 245 percent.
America engaged in bowing China
Donald Trump and his team believe that America should not weaken in this war. The White House made it clear that if the conversation is to be held, then China will have to call first. Trump said, ‘We are waiting for Jinping to call.’ But China repeatedly turned down this demand. This conflict seems to be a fight for ego between the two countries. America is constantly saying that China will have to talk first. From this, it seems as if Trump wants the world to see that China bends in front of him, while Jinping wants to show his people that they can fight in front of America.
Jinping is looking for friends against America
Meanwhile, Chinese President Xi Jinping has been involved in mobilization against Trump all over the world. The President of China visited Vietnam on 14 April. Jinping met TO LAM LAM and Vietnamese Prime Minister Fam Minh Chin at the headquarters of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Communist Party (CPV). He also met Vietnam President Louong Kouong. Jinping said, “We should together oppose unilateral pressure.”
At the same time, Trump launched a scathing attack after this meeting. He said, ‘China and Vietnam are plotting to harm America together. But I forgive them, because they are just thinking of their benefit. It is clear from Trump’s comment that he is troubled by this diplomacy of Jinping. After Vietnam, Jinping went on a trip to Malaysia and Cambodia. The purpose of a five-day journey is to strengthen business relations with southeast Asian countries. Taking advantage of the opportunity of Jinping tariff, he wants to bring them into his court.
