Washington: The White House announced that all foreign nationals living in the country for more than 30 days will have to register with the federal government. If they do not do so, they will have to face fines, jail and exile. This announcement has aroused concern among immigrant communities across America. White House Press Secretary Caroline Lewitt said, ‘All foreign nationals living in the United States for more than 30 days will have to register with the federal government. Not following it is a crime for which there is a provision of fine, imprisonment or both.
Lewitt said, “If this is not done, you will be arrested, a fine will be imposed, will be deported and you will never be able to return to our country.” This instruction is based on the decades -old Alien Registration Act of Second World War. It is appointed by Trump, US District Judge Traver N. McFaden’s decision was followed by the green signal, which rejected the legal challenge of the advocacy groups.
Evidence of registration will have to be kept with you all the time
The judge ruled that the plaintiff has a lack of sufficient legal basis to prevent the rules from implementing the rule. This cleared the way for the controversial instructions to be effective. Under the new rule, foreign nationals – [जिनमें वीजा धारक और कानूनी स्थायी निवासी शामिल हैं] – One has to keep proof of registration at all times. This instruction applies to persons living in America for more than 30 days. It also includes newly incoming foreign nationals, who will have to register within a month of entering the country if there is no legitimate documents.
Fingerprint will have to be identified
The Homeland Security Department (DHS) has clarified that after April 11, it is necessary to register persons entering America within 30 days. Children who have completed the age of 14 years will also have to register again and fingerprint will have to be given, even if there is any registration. Levit, who also works as an assistant to President Donald Trump, said that this decision is about national security and law enforcement. He said, ‘Trump administration will continue to implement the immigration laws of our country. We will not choose which laws to implement. We have to know who is in our country, so that our motherland and all American citizens can be protected.
