Air defense systems: The indirect attack between India and Pakistan continues. The two countries are using drones or missiles for attacks on each other. Air defense systems are playing an important role in protecting these attacks. Due to this system, last night, India destroyed many drone attacks of Pakistan before reaching the ground. Along with this, Pakistan’s air defense system located in Lahore also blew up. Amidst all this, everyone’s curiosity is going on in everyone’s mind that what is this air defense system? How does this work and what are the countries of both India and Pakistan have such systems? This is what we are going to tell you in this story.
First know what is air defense system?
The air defense system is a mechanism that is used to protect a country or region from air strikes. It is equipped with modern technology and weapons. It is capable of detecting, tracking and destroying air threats such as enemy aircraft, missiles, and drones. There are many types of air defense systems. Countries use them according to their convenience.
How does the air defense system work?
Any air defense system works in four stages. First it detects danger using radar and sensor. Once a danger is detected, the command and control system analyzes its speed, direction and type. In the same stage it suggests that danger is drone, missile, or fighter aircraft. India’s Integrated Air Command and Control System (IACS) does this task. After the danger is confirmed, the air defense system launches its missile or interceptor. These interceptors destroy the enemy’s goal in the air itself. After the attack on the Khatre, the system examines whether the danger is completely eliminated.
Now know which India has air defense system
India has strengthened its defense mechanism by increasing its defense budget in recent years. India has a multi-level air defense system, which includes type of indigenous and imported systems.
S-400 ‘Sudarshan Chakra’: There is a lot of discussion between Indo-Pak tension. India has intercepted Pakistani attacks with the help of this system in recent times. It is a long-range surface-to-host missile system purchased from Russia. Its range is up to 400 km and can track targets up to 600 km. It is considered one of the most advanced air defense systems in the world. In the year 2018, India made a deal with Russia and their delivery started from 2021.
Sky: This system is developed in India itself, which is a medium-range surface-to-hil-to-hill system. Its range is about 25–45 kilometers and can destroy fighter aircraft, cruise missiles and ballistic missiles.
Barak-8: It has been jointly developed by India and Israel. It is a medium to long-range surface-to-hil-by-hill-hill system. Its range is more than 70 kilometers and is included in the Army, Navy and Air Force flesh.
Spider: It is a surface-to-host missile system purchased from Israel. It is capable of making quick response and can target aircraft, drones and helicopters.
Pakistan’s air defense system
Pakistan’s air defense system is mainly dependent on China. He has defense systems formed in China. The HQ-9 is a long-range surface-to-hill-hilling missile system. Its normal range is about 120 kilometers, while the range of its updated version is stated to be 300 kilometers. Similar HQ-16 is also a moderate-distance surface-to-hil-to-hill system in China, with a range of about 40 kilometers. Spada 2000, a French-made anti-aircraft missile system, has a range of 20–25 km. It is used to protect Air Force bases and other important sites. However, the reliability of these air defense systems of Pakistan has been questioned in recent contexts.
