India Pakistan War Latest Updates: Amid increasing tension in India-Pakistan, a debris like missile has been found in the farm near Kamhi Devi village in Hoshiarpur district of Punjab. Hoshiarpur Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Kumar said that the debris was found on Thursday (May 8) night, which appears to be the missile. The local police immediately took action and informed the Air Force. After that the area was laid under the siege where debris was found.
An official said that a team of Air Force officials soon reached the spot. She then took the debris with her for investigation. Punjab is on alert mode amid increasing tension in India and Pakistan. On Thursday evening, blackouts were made in several cities including Pathankot, Mohali, Jalandhar, Amritsar and Hoshiarpur.
India on Thursday night thwarted the Pakistani Army’s attempt to attack military locations with missiles and drones at military locations at Jammu, Pathankot, Udhampur and some other places. At the same time, tension between the two countries has increased amid fears of comprehensive military conflict.
After thwarting Pakistani efforts, the Ministry of Defense said that India is “fully prepared to protect its sovereignty and ensure safety of its people.” In view of the increasing tension between India and Pakistan, the Punjab government canceled the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) and Punjab Civil Services (PCS) officials on Friday. The Punjab Police has already canceled its personnel holidays.
The letter issued by Punjab’s Personnel Secretary Gurpreet Kaur Sapra said, “Given the preparations for the current situation and the emergency response system, it has been decided that any officer will not go on any kind of leave without the clear approval of the Chief Secretary Punjab or will not leave the place of his deployment. All the holidays are canceled.”
He said that these instructions will be applicable with immediate effect. The letter addressed to the IAS and PCS officers stated, “Compliance of the order must be ensured, otherwise appropriate action will be initiated under the related rules.”
The incident took place at a time when the Indian Armed Forces carried out accurate missile attacks on nine terrorist bases in Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) and Pakistan on Wednesday in response to the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April.

Subsequently, India on Thursday night thwarted Pakistan’s efforts to attack military locations including Jammu and Pathankot with drones and missiles. Earlier, India thwarted similar efforts at 15 places in the northern and western regions of the country.
