The Indian armed forces strongly responded to the missile and drone attacks conducted by Pakistan on the night of 8 May. Under this, India carried out drone attacks on 4 air defense sites in Pakistan, destroying an air defense radar system in Pakistan. Addressing the press briefing of the Ministry of External Affairs on Operation Sindoor, Wing Commander Vyomika Singh said, “In response to the Pakistani attack, armed drones were launched at 4 air defense sites in Pakistan. One of the drones, one of the drones, was able to destroy an AD radar there.”
During the briefing on Operation Sindoor, Colonel Sophia Qureshi said that Pakistan had sent 300-400 drones to 36 places in the country. Initial investigations have revealed that Turkish Songar drones were used during the attacks. Colonel Qureshi said that these drones were neutralized using kinetic and non-economic methods.
