New Delhi: Foreign Minister of India Dr. S. Jaishankar spoke openly on the issue of China, America’s tariff, Bangladesh, Canada and terrorism at Rising Bharat Summit 2025 of News18. Dr. Jaishankar clearly said that India will no longer bow in front of anyone, will answer every challenge. Regarding China, Dr. Jaishankar said, ‘Relations with China are better than before. It was necessary to remove the army in Depasang and Demchok, and this happened. But some issues are still left on the border. The army continued to grow there for years, which created tension. Flights have been closed since Kovid, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra has stopped. All these have to be fixed. He further said, ‘We are on the right path, but there is still a lot of work left.’ Meaning it is clear- relations with China are improving.

Trump’s tariff stance
On the tariff of US President Donald Trump, Dr. Jaishankar said, ‘We do not know what will be its effect, but our strategy is prepared. We decided that we would talk to the Trump administration from the beginning. In the last six weeks, we have not been in two years from Europe. He said, ‘We are very open and creative with him because they are similar with us. The trade agreement is our goal by the end of this year. This has been the purpose of our strategy. But, we were talking about the business agreement.
