Speaking to Local 18, Harishankar Choubey told how he cultivates tomatoes. Harishankar Choubey said, “He has cultivated tomato in his field in Netshd House, which has many benefits. In this manner, the temperature remains under control and tomato does not ripen quickly. In addition, the crop is also safe from natural disasters like strong sunlight, thunderstorms or hailstorms. Along with this, the size of the tomato is safe and the stain is not spoiled for a long time.

He further reported, “Tomato cultivation has only used cow dung and earthworm manure and did not use any kind of chemical or pesticides. Netsh house does not even cause pests on the crop, which also makes the quality of production good.”

How much did the benefit

Harishankar Choubey said that, while most farmers are forced to sell tomatoes at Rs 1 per kg, Harishankar’s tomato is being sold directly from Rs 5 to Rs 120 per kg from the field. The price of a crate (25 kg) tomato is ₹ 20 for other farmers, while Harishankar gets up to ₹ 3000. Harishankar Choubey said that he has sold vegetables worth about 6 lakh rupees in a single season. Their crop is being supplied to the mandis of Chhatarpur, Maharajpur, Naugaon and Mahoba and there is a demand in the summer.
