After the terrorist attack in Pahalgam, India is going to take decisive steps against the terrorist organization TRF (The Resistance Front). India is going to present new evidence before the United Nations Security Council’s 1267 Ban Committee. On the basis of the evidence, India will demand that the resistance front (TRF) of the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba, who is in Pakistan, be declared a terrorist organization.
India will expose terrorist misdeeds
According to sources, Pakistan’s terrorist network will be exposed in the report offered by India. In particular, the TRF’s role in the Pahalgam attack on April 22 will be revealed, in which 26 innocent people were killed. This time India is going to present the Dosier (document of evidence) in the 1267 Ban Committee of the United Nations Security Council, the aim is to declare TRF (The Resistance Front) as a global terrorist organization. The organization, which is considered a Pakistan-backed organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba, has been involved in terrorist activities for a long time.
India may also demand a ban on TRF members and ban on travel. This is the third time India is going to 1267 committee with evidence regarding this organization. Indian officials say that even when concrete evidence was given earlier, these efforts were stopped for some reason.
Is Pakistan saving TRF?
Being a temporary member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC), Pakistan has been defending the TRF (The Resistance Front) for a long time with the support of China. According to reports, Pakistan was successful in preventing TRF from joining the Name of the UNSC, condemning the Pahalgam terror attack on 22 April. It is worth noting that TRF has accepted the responsibility of this attack twice.
What is UNSC 1267 Committee?
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) 1267 Ban Committee was established in 1999. Its purpose is to take action against ISIS, al-Qaeda and terrorist organizations associated with them. The committee works under the proposal 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011) and 2253 (2015) of the UNSC and takes tough steps such as ban, property seizing, and prohibition on traveling individuals and institutions associated with these terrorist groups.
Top sources in India say that Pakistan and Lashkar-e-Taiba have long ties between terrorist organizations. In the investigation of the 22 April Pahalgam attack, India’s aim is to bring this terrorist network to the world. After the removal of Article 370 in 2019, TRF (The Resistance Front) was seen as a pseudo-organization of Lashkar-e-Taiba. The investigation by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) has revealed that TRF has been involved in works like plans, killings, recruitment of terrorists and smuggling of arms in Kashmir.
