The US ‘Rubio said that Washington’ Important ‘for progress on peace
US State Secretary Marco Rubio said on Thursday that Washington was ready to consider “virtually any mechanism” to reach a permanent end of the war in Ukraine.
Speaking at an informal meeting of NATO’s Foreign Minister in Antalya, Turkey, Rubio said, “Obviously, we are in a very difficult place right now, and we hope that we can move the move that provides for the end of this and was in the prevention of any war in the future.”
“So there is a lot of work. We are committed to it. Obviously, like everyone, impatient, we want to see it, but it is different. But you know, hopefully progress will be here soon,” Hey said.
Talking about US President Donald Trump – whose pledge of the campaign was to bring peace in Ukraine within 24 hours of taking office in January – Rubio said, “He is really open to any system that we get to take a justified, permanent and peace, and this is what he wants to see.”
These comments come beyond the potential direct negotiations under Ukraine and Russia in Istanbul, ending the war, began with Moscow’s full -scale invasion in February 2022.
Trump, who is currently on a Gulf tour, has said that he attends talks on Friday “if it is appropriate.”
“But we are still interacting with us, I hope Russia and Ukraine are able to do something. It has to be stopped,” hey said.
