Austria’s classically trained counterter JJ won the 69th Eurovision Song Contest with his pop-opera song “Tuber Love”.
Basel’s Swiss city was hosting the final of the competition on Saturday night.
Israel’s Yuval Rafael came second with “New Day Will Rise”, and Estonia’s Tommy Cash came third with “Espresso McChyato”.
Sweden’s entry Kaj was a favorite with his excited Sauna song, “Bara Bada Bastu”, but Scandinavian was only ahead.
The 26 songs performed in Basel featured a wide range of European music, including an alternative rock band from a Portuguese guitar guitar, Lithuania, Austria Opera, and a Latvian song players.
The winner was decided by a combination of viewers ideas and a jury votes. The jury’s votes were recorded on the basis of uncontrolled dress rehearsal on Friday.
