Hyderabad News: A fierce fire broke out in a pearl shop near Charminar in Hyderabad this morning. According to officials, at least eight people were killed in a fierce fire in a building at Gulzar House near Charminar on Sunday. The fire started around 6-6: 30 in the morning, after which the fire brigade found many people unconscious at the scene.
The fire started in a pearl shop at Gulzar House near Charminar. The flames rapidly engulfed the entire area. After the fire was reported, the fire brigade took the front and managed to save many people trapped inside. The pearl trader’s shop Modi Pearls was on the ground floor, while his family and some laborers’ families lived on the first floor. The dead include two children and four women. They have been identified as Rajendra Kumar (67), Sumitra (65), Munni Bai (72), Abhishek Modi (30), Aarushi Jain (17), Sheetal Jain (37), Arshadi (7) and Iraj (2).
On the fire incident, Union Minister Kishan Reddy said, ‘A family pearl shop caught fire. His house was on the top floor of the shop. The accident occurred due to a short circuit. Many people have died in the accident. Some have been injured. I am not blaming anyone, but since Hyderabad is a fast developing city, police, municipal corporation, fire fighting and electricity departments should be strengthened. ‘
