Washington: A major accident has been seen on the famous Brooklyn Bridge in New York. The Training Ship of the Mexican Navy collided with this historical suspension bridge. The mast of the ship broke in this collision, and 19 people were injured, in which four are said to be critical. This is the same Brooklyn Bridge, which you must have seen in many Indian films too. At around 8:26 pm on Saturday night, the famous bridge connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan of New York came into the limelight when the Mexican Navy ship collided while passing under it. There were 277 sailors in it.
The online viral video showed that the mast of the ship hit the bottom of the bridge, causing the mast pieces to fall on the deck. According to the New York Police Department (NYPD), all the injured were on the ship, and the bridge did not suffer any structural damage. New York Mayor Eric Adams told in a press conference, ’19 people have been injured, in which four are in critical condition. Our teams are monitoring the situation. The Mexican Navy said in its official X post, ‘Cuauhtémoc ship was in the process of departing from New York, when the accident occurred. Navy and local officials are reviewing the situation.
