Weather’s turn in Delhi
The weather has once again turned into the country’s capital Delhi. On Saturday, many areas received heavy rain with strong winds. The Meteorological Department estimates that a similar weather will remain in Delhi for one or two days to come. IMD estimates that on Sunday, strong winds may blow in Delhi on Sunday. Orange alert has been issued in Delhi regarding rain and strong wind.
The weather will be hot in these states
The heatstroke is expected in Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh during May 17 to 18. The heat round in Rajasthan will continue till 22 May. Lu is expected to run on 18 and 19 May at different places in Madhya Pradesh. Bihar and Odisha are expected to have hot and humid weather.
Heavy rains are expected in the Northeast
According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of heavy rains in Northeast India for the next 5 days. During this period, strong winds can be blowing at a speed of 30 to 50 kilometers per hour. Between 17 and 21 May, there may be strong rains in many areas of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya. Especially on May 18 and 19, there is a possibility of very heavy rains in some places in Tripura, Assam and Meghalaya. Today, on May 18, Arunachal Pradesh can also receive very heavy rainfall in many areas.
According to the India Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of rain with strong winds at Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand between 17 and 21 May. During this period, light rain may occur somewhere in eastern Uttar Pradesh and eastern Rajasthan. At the same time, light to moderate rains are expected in some areas of Punjab, Haryana and western Uttar Pradesh between May 19 to 21.
