Washington. US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin had a 2 -hour conversation over the phone. But there was no result in that conversation. President Donald Trump has been ‘disappointed’ from Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodimir Jailnsky. The White House said this on Monday before Trump spoke on Trump’s phone with the hope of progress towards the ceasefire between Ukraine-Russia.
Trump hoped in a social media post weekend that Monday would prove to be a ‘meaningful day’ in terms of ceasefire. Trump will also interact with NATO leaders through phone as part of his efforts. But before Trump’s phone call, Vice President JD Vance said that if Trump feels that Putin is not serious about the conversation, he is ‘fully prepared’ to retreat from the attempt to end the war.

Press Secretary Caroline Levitt said that the conversation started through phone immediately after 10 am. He promised to give additional details after the conversation ended. Kremlin spokesman Dimitri Peskov last week described the conversation between Russia and Ukrainian officials in Istanbul, which is the first such dialogue after March 2022.
