Pakistani spy shahzad arrested: Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested a person who spies for Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). Officials said that the accused has been identified as Shahzad. He hails from Rampur district. He was detained from Moradabad on Saturday. Shahzad was caught in nationwide action on persons allegedly spying for Pakistani intelligence agencies. Under this campaign, many people including social media influencers and YouTubers have been arrested.
Investigation revealed that he had gone to Pakistan several times. He was involved in cross -cross -border trade of cosmetics, clothes, spices and other items. Police said that this smuggling gang allegedly worked as a mask for his spy activities. Shahzad is also accused of establishing close contact with several ISI operatives and providing them sensitive and confidential information related to India’s national security. Officials said that the accused was not only giving intelligence information, but was also facilitating the operation for ISI within India.
Uttar Pradesh ATS said in a statement, “Uttar Pradesh ATS has arrested Shahzad, a Pakistani agency ISI’s detective from Moradabad. Shahzad, a resident of Rampur, Uttar Pradesh, went to Pakistan for the past several years and smuggled illegal smuggling of cosmetics, clothes, spices and other goods on the Indo-Pakistan border. Under its guise, he worked for the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI. There is good relations with which he was in constant contact with the confidential information related to India’s security with the ISI agents.
Further investigation revealed that while working on the instructions of ISI, Shahzad had transferred money to Pakistani agents active in India. He also helped to send people from Rampur and other parts of Uttar Pradesh to Pakistan on the pretext of smuggling, so that they could be admitted for ISI -related activities. According to the police, visas and travel documents for these persons were allegedly arranged with the help of ISI operatives.
Shahzad is also accused of bought Indian SIM cards and gave it to ISI agents, which helped in conversation for a potentially destructive purposes. A case has been registered against Shahzad under sections 148 and 152 of the Indian Justice Code at ATS police station in Lucknow. The accused has been produced before the magistrate. Further legal proceedings are going on.
Earlier, a 26 -year -old man was arrested on Saturday for spying for Pakistan in Rajaka village of Nuh district. Nuh police said the accused Armaan has been arrested for sharing information related to the Indian Army and other military activities with Pakistan through an employee posted at Pakistan High Commission in Delhi.
This is the fourth arrest in Haryana in the last few days. A YouTuber from Haryana has been arrested for giving sensitive information to Pakistani intelligence agencies. Police said Jyoti Malhotra, who hails from Hisar, Haryana and running a YouTube channel named ‘Travel with JO’, was arrested from New Agrasen Extension.
Police said that a case has been registered against him under the Related Sections of the Government Security Act and the Code of India Code. The court sent him to five days police custody. Jyoti has 3.77 lakh subscribers on YouTube channel.

She was allegedly in touch with a Pakistani employee working in the Pakistan High Commission in Delhi. India had expelled the Pakistani officer on 13 May due to alleged indulging in espionage.
