Digital Day: “It couldn’t be more comfortable”

Mr. Augustin, what was the idea for the digital day?
Everything was online during the Corona pandemic. After that, the events and events were offline again. Especially for medium -sized companies, many of whom we are among our members, it was often difficult to make participation possible. Many have to struggle with a lack of staff; The time and cost factor also play a role. That’s why we said: we offer a digital format. As for the topics, it was important to us that they should revolve around innovations. Ultimately, it has become a digital event that has mainly made digital topics. The BTE has worked together for a long time with many of the companies that have presented their products and services. There has only been a recent contact. We believe that we have put together an interesting program.

What conclusion do you draw after the event? Are you satisfied with the response?
The Digital Day was very successful. The idea of ​​running the individual lectures over 15 or a maximum of 30 minutes, almost as a digital snack, was well received. We deliberately wanted to make a low -threshold offer. In addition, all lectures can be viewed for a long time as YouTube videos. It couldn’t be more convenient! Every dealer or representative from the shoe and textile industry who wants to listen again can do so free of charge- it is only necessary to register with the BTE. Around 200 participants had registered for the digital day. Some were there all day. Others have only looked at certain topics. The providers who gave lectures also had a positive response.

Which topics were particularly popular?
This cannot be quantified. We had the impression that all topics were interesting – be it now AI in retail, advanced training for employees or goods management systems.

There was consistently a relatively stable participant. And in a few weeks we will see which videos were called most frequently afterwards.

Will there be further event of this format? If so, when?
Due to the positive feedback, we assume that we will repeat the event. In autumn, November 4, we will physically organize the Fashion Emotion Congress in Cologne. And spring 2026 is ideal for another digital day.
