According to US media reports, in another firing incident, security guards on Thursday shot a man outside the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) headquarters in Langley, Virginia. The CIA described the incident as a “security inspector”, which occurred near the agency’s main gate. According to the NBC News report, the firing was not very deadly. A CIA spokesperson told the news outlet, “There was a security invident outside the CIA headquarters, on which the law enforcement agencies had to give response.”

However, according to the news agency Reuters, CIA has refused to say whether the suspect was shot or not. The US intelligence agency has claimed that the personnel encounter the person outside the gate.

After the incident, the CIA closed the main gate of the building and appealed to the employees to find an alternative avenues. The agency said in a post on X, “The main gate of the headquarters is closed to the next information. Please use alternative routes on Thursday, 22 May.”

The Fairfax County Police said that after the incident, the CIA was sent to the officers in 900 blocks of Dolly Madison Bulleward in McLeen to assist the CIA police under traffic control. The police on Thursday confirmed that their officials continue to give traffic assistance in the area.

The incident occurred a few hours after the two Israeli embassy employees, Yaron Listinsky and Sara Milgrim’s Washington DC’s Capital Jewish Museum of Washington DC a few hours after the murder.

It is reportedly, there is no evidence that the two incidents have a relationship between themselves.
