China on Thursday began its first space mission to receive samples from a nearby asteroid and conduct research back home, reported by the Xinhua State News Agency.
A successful closing of the mission can be made to catch the ancient asteroid rocks, a rapidly growing space power, the third nation.
What do we know about the mission?
The mission began with a long March -3B rocket, with a blast from the Xichang launch site from the Xichang launch site in the Southwest Sichuan province in the local time (1731 GMT/UTC).
The China National Space Administration (CNSA) stated that the Tietriben-2 spacecraft took 18 minutes to enter a transfer orbit for the asteroid 2016 H33.
The news agency wrote, “The spacecraft revealed its solar panels smoothly, and the CNSA declared the launch successful.”
Tiesen-2 is scheduled to arrive at the asteroid on 2 July 2026 and shoots capsules packed with a back of rocks for a landing in November 2027.
The asteroid was discovered by scientists at Hawaii in 2016 and is about 40 to 100 meters (130–330 ft) in diameter and only rotates close to the Earth.
Therefore, the Tianmen -2 spacecraft has been tasked to discover the comet 311p, according to the country’s space agency.
China’s ‘Space Dream’
China has rapidly made its mark with its expansion space program.
Over the years, President Xi Jinping as the country’s “Space Dream” has been put in billions of dollars in his space program to achieve Jinping Descres.
China already has its space station, and in recent year, it has managed to send the robot away from the moon. It is now planning to send humans to the lunar surface by 2030.
