In the Trump government, he was leading efforts to streamline and improve the bureaucracy. He thanked President Trump.
Elon Musk was given the responsibility of the head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to reduce government spending and reduce bureaucracy in Donald Trump administration. Musk said in a post on Thursday (29 May) morning that his time ended as Trump’s advisor. Musk thanked President Trump for this responsibility. A White House official has also confirmed Musk’s resignation.
After winning the US presidential election in November 2024, Donald Trump announced the creation of a new department called the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE). This is designed to advise the government from outside. Trump handed over its command to Elon Musk and Indian businessman Vivek Ramaswamy. However, Ramaswamy was later removed from it.
During Musk’s tenure, he was several times confronted the top members of the Trump administration, who was irritated by the efforts of a new member to give a new look to his departments. He faced fierce political opposition for his efforts. However, during this time Trump repeatedly described Musk as his true friend. But now the relationship between the two has been tension. Cracks about new bill?
A day before this announcement, Tesla’s CEO criticized the Bill of President Trump. He had said that he was disappointed with the President being called his “very beautiful bill”. The US billionaire condemned Trump’s Bill on Wednesday (May 28) evening. Trump himself described him as a beautiful bill. This bill includes provisions like tax cuts.
Musk called it a bill to increase wasteful expenditure. Musk had expressed displeasure over Trump’s Bill, saying that a bill could be either big or beautiful…. He said in an interview, “I have done as much as I had to do in politics. I will not give any more donations.” It was only after criticizing Trump’s new bill that the relationship between the two was signed.
