The premises will be handed over to the landlord on May 30th. The headquarters on Spitaler Straße has been closed since the end of April. The shops in the Elbe shopping center, in the Alstertal shopping center and in the Mercado have also been cleared. Görtz branches have also been closed outside of Hamburg.
At the end of January, Görtz had submitted an bankruptcy application to the Hamburg District Court – for the second time within a few years. Insolvency administrator Gideon Böhm tries to find solutions for the remaining locations. How many these are is currently officially known. When entrepreneur Bolko Kissling started with Görtz in the summer of 2023, there were around 40 branches.
